Whitney has played tennis for 18 years and has experience on all levels: southern, nationally, internationally, professionally, and collegiately. As a junior, Whitney reached a career high as No. 1 in Georgia, Top 10 in the South (12s, 14s, 16s, and 18s), Top 20 in the nation, and Top 200 ITF. Prior to her coaching career, she played on the WTA Tour for two years and was top 500 in the world. Whitney played for the #1 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) team at Auburn Montgomery, where she won 2 national titles and was an All-American in 2009 and 2010. Whitney transferred to Georgia State, where she reached No. 50 in collegiate singles rankings and a career-high ranking of No. 28 in the country attending NCAA and winning the Sunbelt Conference.
Whitney was named All-CAA First team Doubles and Singles in 2012, before switching over to the Sunbelt Conference. On top of her many tennis accomplishments, Whitney’s biggest honor came when she graduated in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations, and a Minor in marketing from Georgia State University.
